The Stamp Duty Holiday, that was due to end of 31st March, is rumoured to be extended until the end of June.

It has been estimated that this will have a hugely positive effect on the UK Property Market, with RightMove estimating an additional 300,000 property transactions could take place, saving buyers up to 1.75bn GBP in total.

With an estimated 628,000 in property sales still currently in the legal process across Great Britain, this extension would be a more than welcome welcome news for the UK property market, which has been a beacon of light during the Coronavirus pandemic as people looked to move for lifestyle reasons, as well as taking advantage of the Stamp Duty holiday.

If the deadline remains at 31st March, Rightmove estimate that 100,000 property buyers will lose out on the discount.
